COVID Update

An update in relation to the COVID Traffic Light System implementation on Friday 3rd December 2021

Thank-you everyone for your understanding & cooperation to date as we all work through the changing rules in these difficult times.

We now have some clarification from the Government and the New Zealand Veterinary Association around what we must do as a veterinary clinic, to enable us to stay open.

We ask that you treat our staff with respect as we are all in this tricky situation together and are trying our best to work through it as you are.

At YourVet, our biggest priority is being able to operate so we can continue to look after your animals, and the only way we can do this is to implement the government restrictions as follows.

NZ Government requirements in RED & ORANGE:

To come into reception:

  • You must wear a mask
  • You must scan in via the COVID tracer app or record your visit manually
  • You must maintain social distancing

To come into a consult room you must also:

  • Have a COVID vaccine pass, If you are unvaccinated, we will have a nurse to hold your pet while you wait in the reception, the vet or nurse will discuss your pet with you prior and following the appointment.
  • Have one person per family in the consult room

Farm and Equine appointments (outdoors):

  • You must wear a mask
  • If you don’t have a vaccine pass, you must maintain 2 metres social distancing with the vet/nursing team.

NZ Government requirements in GREEN:

To come into reception:

  • You must scan in via the COVID tracer app or record your visit manually
  • You must maintain social distancing
